FEN Exchange: Foresight and the Anticipation Paradigm
The next FEN Exchange will take place on Thursday, 12 February 2026, at 4:00 p.m. CET, and will focus on “Foresight and the Anticipation Paradigm: Probing Synergies between Theory and Practice.”
Over the past 15 years, interest in Anticipation has grown steadily among foresight professionals and futures studies scholars. Some argue that Anticipation, as a conceptual foundation, is reshaping Futures Studies and Foresight, potentially marking the emergence of a new paradigm. This FEN Exchange will build on these developments and serve as a prelude to the Anticipation 2026 Conference in Milan.
The session will explore existing and emerging synergies between Anticipation theory and Foresight practice, offering participants an open space to reflect, exchange perspectives, and learn from one another.
Participation is open.

About FEN Exchanges
FEN Exchanges take place every second Thursday of the month at 4:00 p.m. (CET) and last one hour. They are designed as an open, informal space for members to connect, share updates, and explore key topics within the European context, using futures and foresight methods—and related approaches—as conversation enablers. The emphasis is on dialogue, connection, and learning, with no formal preparation required.
